Join Our Team as a Staff Accountant:
We’re looking for a detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our team and keep our financial operations running seamlessly! In this role, you’ll handle core accounting functions like general ledger management, fixed assets, and expense reporting, while supporting AP/AR when needed. You’ll play a key part in month-end and year-end close, audit prep, and process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency. What You Get to Do:
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain integrity of financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and standards.
- Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Administer Concur for expense reporting and user maintenance.
- Maintain customer and supplier records in Epicor and provide AP/AR support during peak periods or absences.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and assist with auditor requests.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Perform ad hoc projects and analysis assigned by management.
- Promote and adhere to company safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or public accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with expense management systems (Concur experience a plus).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles; experience with fixed asset management and percent-complete accounting is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Certifications: CPA license preferred but not required.
