What You Get to Do:
- Act as the primary customer liaison, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review proposals and budgets at order entry to confirm alignment and identify potential risks.
- Build and manage project teams, coordinating internal and external resources effectively.
- Develop and track project plans, focusing on financials, schedules, and resource allocation; ensure timely invoicing.
- Assess technical feasibility and risks to guide engineering and production decisions.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering accountability and collaboration to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Facilitate key meetings, including kick-offs, design reviews, and daily huddles.
- Provide timely project updates and reports using project management tools.
- Balance customer needs with company goals through strong communication and strategic decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Ability to work onsite at our Shelbyville, IN location five days a week.
- Valid driver’s license for local and regional travel.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects in Automotive, Automation, Industrial Equipment, or Robotics.
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong technical foundation.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proven experience creating and managing project budgets for labor and materials.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute recovery plans to keep projects on track.
