We’re looking for a driven Installation Technician to join our team and support the installation of cutting-edge automated systems across the United States. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with advanced robotic cells, working side-by-side with Robotic Systems Engineers, Mechanical Assembly, and Electrical Assembly teams. You’ll help ensure systems are fully prepped, optimized, and ready for seamless integration at customer sites. When you’re not traveling for installations, you’ll stay engaged in meaningful work by assisting with the build and teardown of robotic cells, contributing to multiple stages of our automation process.
What You Get to Do:
- Travel between Acieta and customer sites to support installation of automation projects.
- Deliver skilled support to accelerate installations and ensure systems reach full functional readiness for Integration.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures throughout project lifecycle.
- Assemble and tear down robotic cells in the shop when not deployed for installations.
- Train and collaborate with Robotic Systems Engineers on best installation practices.
- Submit all required documentation—log sheets, inspection forms, trip reports—to the Integration Supervisor promptly.
- Provide meaningful feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, and leadership regarding performance issues, quality concerns, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Lead major installation builds and support large projects by mentoring, backing up, and collaborating with other technicians both in the shop and at customer sites.
- Follow all company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Ability to travel up to 90% across the U.S.; valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a passport.
- 2–3+ years of hands‑on mechanical/electrical assembly experience using hand and power tools (machine building, industrial maintenance, or similar).
- 2+ years in a manufacturing or plant environment, working safely and efficiently around industrial equipment.
- 2+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting, including diagnosing issues on machinery.
- 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience on industrial machinery, including diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing mechanical components.
- 2+ years of experience building or assembling equipment using AutoCAD drawings or schematics.
- Strong technical communication skills—able to read, interpret, and relay detailed instructions or findings.
- Basic computer and math proficiency needed for documentation and measurements.
- Ability to make sound, independent technical decisions while keeping project teams updated.
