Join our team as an Engineering Documentation Specialist and help bring innovative robotic automation systems to life! In this role, you’ll play a hands-on part in designing the foundations of advanced robotic solutions, collaborating with a skilled engineering team to turn concepts into high‑performance, real‑world systems. What You Get to Do:

  • Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for robotic automation systems, tooling, and equipment
  • Generate fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings with proper tolerances, BOMs, and annotations
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure design intent is accurately captured
  • Maintain drawing standards, templates, and best practices across projects
  • Support design changes and engineering change requests
  • Manage the lifecycle of engineering documents including drawings, specifications, manuals, and work instructions
  • Coordinate document release processes between engineering, Integration and Project Management
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal standards and customer requirements
  • Archive and retrieve documents in accordance with company policies
  • Support production and field teams with accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Assist in compiling technical documentation packages for customer deliverables
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all drawings and documentation
  • Identify and implement improvements to drafting and document control processes
  • Support audits and compliance efforts related to documentation
  • Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Must be able to be onsite, in person 5 days per week in Council Bluffs, IA
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of drafting and/or document control experience in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments
  • CAD expertise that drives innovation, with proficiency in Soildworks (and the ability to work confidently in other 2D/3D CAD platforms), enabling you to turn concepts into precise, manufacturable designs.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault, or similar)
  • Experience writing operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor or similar) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and BOM structures
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
