Join Our Team as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator:
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is a working position that is responsible for coordinating the activities of shipping, receiving, and warehouse inventory personnel.Â
What You Get to Do:
- Coordinate activities of workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock records in warehouse.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labelled, and pictures taken and placed in project folder.
- Ensure all received shipments are properly received, logged, labelled and properly stored
- Ensure warehouse inventory is accurate
- Ensure non-conforming parts are returned, restocked or scrapped in a timely manner
- Package all outgoing shipments on a daily basis
- Build necessary skids for shipments
- Schedule shipments via appropriate freight forwarders as required
- Develop detailed itemized packing lists
- Manage all documentation related to shipment of product
- Deliver job related parts to other departments
- Update Smartsheet with shipping status, actual ship date, packaging information, and tracking details
- Provide organization and storage of all parts outside of part bins
- Coordinate work assignments for material handlers
- Assist material handlers packaging outgoing freight/container shipments as required
- Perform Bill of Material check off
- Coordinate delivery of parts to off-site company locations
- Prepare truck layout for shipments
- Load all trucks for shipment
- Manage shipping supply levels and submit re-order requests
- Process manual entries for inventory sign-out sheets
- Conduct daily processing of inventory usage reports to pull allocated inventory and organize by job
- Process receivers through company ERP software
- Receive and organize all incoming material from all carriers in a manner that ensures materials are readily accessible as needed based on project schedules
- Consolidate incoming parts and inventory items by job and verify contents to Bill of Material
- Receive and tag all incoming steel and organize by job
- Ensure all fabricated parts are appropriately tagged
- Manage and maintain all aspects of on-hand inventory
- Create and assign bin locations
- Perform necessary parts transfers
- Contact vendors regarding part(s) discrepancies and work to successfully resolve issue
- Perform daily cycle counts to verify inventory quantity and location and make necessary inventory adjustments
- Deliver non-job related items to appropriate requisitioner
- Adhere to company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for employees
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.
